Carrie Underwood won two of the 10 CMT Awards given out Wednesday night. She thanked her team and her fans as she took home her giant CMT buckle statues: one for Video of the Year for “Cowboy Casanova,” and another for CMT Performance of the Year for her performance of “Temporary Home.”
Taylor Swift and her uncharacteristically straight hair were shut out of the CMT Awards this year.

The awards were a shut-out for fellow female country superstar Taylor Swift who dominated the awards last year. She was nominated for Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year while her “You Belong with Me” video director, Roman White, was nominated for Director of the Year.
Kid Rock hosted the high-energy awards show. It’s one of three popular country music awards shows, and it’s not to be confused with either the Country Music Association Awards (CMAs) or the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs). The CMA Awards 2010 nominations were announced this morning on Good Morning America/GMA by Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. Lambert was nominated for nine categories, making her the most nominated female ever at the CMAs.
